Alissa Redding

Chief People Officer

Alissa Redding serves as VTG’s Chief People Officer. She is responsible for the company’s enterprise-wide strategy to build and retain an exceptional team of professionals, optimizing people-centered activities such as hiring, training, professional development, and communications.

Alissa was a founding partner of Intelligent Shift, a company she led from 2017 until it was acquired by VTG in 2021. Intelligent Shift was built to address the exodus of talent from the Defense and Intelligence industry caused by a myopic focus on the bottom line rather than a passion for the people and critical skills needed for the Intelligence Community mission. Intelligent Shift is now an integrated and rapidly growing component of the VTG enterprise, driven by the mission and focused on the employees.

Prior to founding Intelligent Shift, Alissa was Vice President of Specialized Technical Programs at Vencore where she led an organization responsible for the transition of mission systems to operations, won strategic new acquisition efforts, and oversaw change management initiatives. Alissa started her career at Lockheed Martin as a software engineer and has supported the U.S. Intelligence Community for over 20 years.

Alissa holds degrees from Johns Hopkins University and Townson University. Outside of work, she is passionate about giving back to the Northern Virginia community and has made it her priority to support initiatives across the National Capital Region, including STEM outreach in local middle schools. Alissa has served on the Fairfax County Community Action Advisory Board and was a member of the Junior League of Northern Virginia (JLNV) where she chaired Strides for Success.
