John Hassoun serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of VTG. In this capacity, he leads a team of highly skilled experts dedicated to enhancing America’s competitive edge in national security through force modernization and digital transformation solutions.
Before joining VTG, John was the President and CEO of Vistronix. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Reston, VA, Vistronix was a national security solutions provider specializing in Advanced Analytics, Signal Processing, Cloud Computing, and Large-Scale Data Management. He successfully sold the company in 2016 to ASRC Federal, an Alaska Native Corporation headquartered in Beltsville, MD, where he integrated the combined Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) operating group. The IS&T group provided critical mission-enabling services, including cyber analytics, signal processing, cloud computing, big data management, and enterprise IT solutions to federal agencies within defense, intelligence, and civilian markets.
From 2006 to 2012, John held several CEO positions in the defense and intelligence industry, including at ATSC, a publicly-traded company offering comprehensive IT systems and solutions support to federal civilian agencies, Department of Defense, public safety, national security customers, and commercial enterprises, as well as Global Integrated Security and Olive Group, which provided security services and technology-enabled solutions for critical infrastructure protection, post-conflict reconstruction, humanitarian aid, and emerging market opportunities across the Middle East, Gulf States, Africa, and Asia Pacific.
Following a successful career as a program manager and technical expert for the U.S. Air Force, John held leadership roles at General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) and Veridian (NYSE: VNX).
John is a member of the board of Inspired Practices in Early Education, a nonprofit organization that facilitates the exchange of ideas on early childhood education, aiming to foster exceptional childhood experiences globally. John earned his master’s degree in Human Factors and his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wright State University.
