The U.S. Air Force, through its CloudOne program, is undertaking a large-scale migration of hundreds of on-premises applications to secure cloud environments. This modernization effort aims to standardize platforms, improve data management, and ensure compliance with security regulations. However, many missions require support in conducting readiness assessments, estimating costs, and developing migration roadmaps. The challenge lies in executing migrations efficiently while maintaining operational continuity, compliance, and managing costs through Financial Operations (FinOps) capabilities.
VTG partnered with the CloudOne program to deliver expert guidance and implementation support for the Air Force’s cloud migration and modernization initiative.
VTG’s support accelerated the Air Force’s transition to cloud-based operations while ensuring mission effectiveness and compliance. The team’s refactoring and training efforts prepared Air Force personnel to operate effectively in the new cloud environment. With streamlined deployment processes and modernized applications, CloudOne delivers scalable, secure, and resilient digital infrastructure across the enterprise. This transformation is positioning the Air Force for long-term success in a digitally driven defense landscape.
