Ryan Reed is the President of VTG’s Fleet Modernization Solutions strategic business unit. He is responsible for managing and growing VTG’s fleet modernization and integration business. The SBU integrates advanced Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems into naval platforms afloat and ashore.

Ryan joined VTG in 2017 as the Director of East Coast Operations where he oversaw fleet technical and engineering support services for Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) projects onboard Navy ships and submarines.

Ryan previously served in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear submarine officer and engineering duty officer where he specialized in fleet modernization. Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova University, a master’s degree in business administration from The Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, and a master’s degree in system engineering from Old Dominion University. In addition, he is a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) from the American Society of Quality.
