VTG Recognized on Washington Business Journal’s List of Top Government Technology Contractors

Chantilly, Va., March 17, 2021 – VTG, an industry-leading provider of force modernization and digital transformation solutions, announced today it was recognized for the first time on the Washington Business Journal’s list of Largest Government Technology Contractors. The annual list, which ranked VTG as No. 32 based on number of employees in the Greater Washington region, celebrates the largest government contractors in the federal market.

Industry Vet John Hassoun Appointed President and CEO of VT Group

VT Group, a premier mid-size technology integrator and C4ISR solutions and services provider to the Federal government, is pleased to announce that effective immediately, John Hassoun will take on the role of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In this role, John will report to the Board of Directors and be responsible for overall VT Group executive management and corporate strategy.


Prior to joining VT Group, John was President and CEO of Vistronix Intelligence and Technology Solutions, where he was responsible for the significant growth of the company in the Intelligence and National Security markets, leading to its acquisition by ASRC Federal in 2016.


John has over 25 years’ experience in the government services sector with roles in executive leadership, corporate strategy and business development, business operations, and program management. After a successful career as a program manager for the U.S. Air Force, John served in executive leadership roles at publicly-held General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) and Veridian (NYSE: VNX), and served as co-CEO of ATS Corporation (NYSE: ATSC) until its acquisition by Salient Federal Solutions. John’s extensive executive leadership experience also includes chief executive positions that he held internationally with Global Integrated Security and Olive Group.


John currently also serves as a board director of GardaWorld Federal Services and GardaWorld Government Services. Both companies are leading providers of worldwide comprehensive security and risk management services.
