VTG has extensive experience in network engineering, IT services, and large-scale cabling infrastructure programs for defense, government, law enforcement, and commercial customers. Our integrated turnkey solutions are supported by fully cleared network engineering teams that can deploy rapidly worldwide.
Whether integrating C4ISR systems or modernizing a secure government facility, we focus on our customer’s goals, challenges, and enterprise requirements to develop and implement solutions optimized for current and future needs. Our proven approach can be successfully applied to both new facility construction and renovation projects. Our engineering professionals and BICSI-certified Registered Communications Distribution Designers (RCDDs) are experts at creating, planning, integrating, executing, and managing the implementation of telecommunications and data communications technology.
VTG is at the forefront of the practical application of converged IT technology, passive optical networks (PONs), and digital electricity. These breakthroughs mitigate the cost and performance risk of supporting robust new technologies with outdated infrastructures, instead leveraging new single mode fiber to the desk and eliminating the future need for costly cabling infrastructure replacement. For example, our PON solution provides a highly resilient and scalable network aligned with future technology objectives and delivers up to 60 percent capital and operational savings over traditional networking infrastructure.
The Raven Rock Mountain Complex is a U.S. military installation with an underground nuclear bunker. Known as the Underground Pentagon, it has emergency operations centers for the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. VTG is helping to modernize Raven Rock’s networking infrastructure by implementing a passive optical network (PON) —the first of its kind at Raven Rock. The PON will increase flexibility, improve performance, and reduce costs.
Our certified engineers designed, staged, configured, and installed a passive optical (PON) network infrastructure that includes redundant systems for multiple classification levels. Each PON system includes dual optical line terminals and is designed to provide full redundancy and infrastructure resiliency to ensure high availability. Moreover, the single mode fiber to the desk eliminates the need for costly cabling infrastructure replacement in the future. The robust VTG system supports optical network terminals while delivering a secure gigabyte Ethernet service for all end points across the facility.
