We provide comprehensive engineering and program management services that help our customers efficiently and cost-effectively meet mission-critical requirements. It’s not an empty claim. Specializing in establishing and managing programs through the full lifecycle – from inception to closeout – we apply stringent control and reporting processes to ensure that each program and project is on track.
Our end-to-end services combine both systems-level engineering expertise and comprehensive program management capabilities. This proficiency includes mission analysis, project management, engineering design, cost estimating, technology evaluation, program advocacy, and more. As a result, we ensure that our customers drive out risk and deliver programs on time, within cost, and at specified performance levels.
Our deep domain experience, intimate understanding of our customers’ missions, and proven project management expertise help ensure that our customers meet their precise program requirements. We apply proven processes and methodologies to reduce risk and ensure customer solutions are correctly configured and efficiently implemented. The comprehensive set of challenges facing a major program requires an integrated team approach. We are renowned for our ability to build and lead teams, managing the coordination and collaboration, and optimizing program execution, so our customers can redeploy their valuable personnel resources to more mission-centric tasks.
The Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Program Office is charged with rapidly prototyping and fielding a hypersonic weapon – a top Defense Department priority – capable of precise, timely, long-range strike against deep-inland, time-critical, soft- and medium-hardened targets in contested environments. The Navy is the lead designer for the common hypersonic missile that will be fielded by both the Navy and the Army, and the weapon system will be deployed on multiple platforms, from ZUMWALT Class destroyers and VIRGINIA Class fast-attack submarines to Army Field Batteries. Robust test and evaluation is integral to ensuring that the missile system achieves all performance requirements and specifications.
CPS relies upon VTG’s engineers and analysts to mature the test program and perform critical test and evaluation functions to meet these objectives. Our engineers serve as Flight Test Managers for live launch events, leading detailed test planning and performing progress reviews through test execution and post-event analyses and reporting. This requires coordinating government, industry, and national laboratory resources, and applying testing experience, critical thinking, and problem-solving to quickly adapt to dynamic changes. VTG’s efforts support the successful collection of test data and key model validation, keeping system development on schedule.
