Sunil Ramchand leads the Navy Operating Group (OG) and is a member of VTG’s Board of Directors. The Navy OG delivers integrated warfare systems and advanced C2 capabilities the US Navy needs for distributed warfighting with a hybrid manned/unmanned fleet. Sunil previously served as VTG’s Chief Growth Officer from 2018 to 2025; in that capacity, he was responsible for the strategic growth of the VTG enterprise, to include both corporate and business development.

Sunil is the former Chief Executive Officer of Mission Essential, a company he led from 2015 to 2018 and transformed into the global language and cultural advisory services leader, a trusted analytic and operational partner to the Intelligence Community, and an industry-leading provider of ISR information management solutions.

Prior to joining Mission Essential in 2009, Sunil held both military and civilian leadership positions at the White House during the Administrations of Presidents Clinton, Bush, and Obama. He is a military veteran and seasoned Defense executive with policy, strategy, operations, and acquisition experience. Sunil served as an active-duty naval surface warfare officer and later as a Defense Department civilian. He holds degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy and Harvard University.
